We are stoked to be partnering with Cigar City for its 2021 Hunahpu releases. We’ve got the details on everything you need to know about this year’s unprecedented online release:
What’s being released?
Hunahpu's Imperial Stout - Dark chocolate, mocha, cinnamon and molasses aromas all compete for attention on the nose, with a soft alcohol spiciness and dark fruit notes complimenting. Imposing and assertive on the palate, this imperial stout immediately presents espresso, baker’s chocolate and plum flavors that give way to cinnamon, toffee and an earthy hop quality. Scoville heat slowly builds with each sip, while a soft bitterness and moderate carbonation provide counterpoint to this viscous, complex creation.
Bourbon Barrel-aged Hunahpu's Imperial Stout - We honor Hun Hunahpu, one of Mayan mythology's Hero Twins, by aging his namesake Imperial Stout in bourbon barrels, imparting additional spice and vanilla qualities to the beer's melange of mole-inspired flavors.
When is it being released?
Right now! Download the Oznr app for iOS or Android to enter the Random Draw. Entries for the BBA Hunahpu bundle end on 2/5 at 6pm.
How do I get my hands on these beers?
All public online sales of Hunahpu will be sold through via the Oznr iOS or Android app. The format for the on-sale will be a Random Draw. Here’s the step by step breakdown of how a Random Draw works on Oznr:
Step 1:
Download the Oznr app for iOS or Android.
If you already have the app, please ensure you have the most updated verison.
Select Tampa, FL as your city.
Step 2:
Subscribe to Cigar City for notifications about future releases.
Select the Random Draw you’d like to enter (you can enter both).
Step 3:
Review all the release details and terms and conditions.
Tap Agree To Terms when you have reviewed all the info.
Step 4:
Review the pricing and add your payment method.
Please note: you will only be charged if you are selected.
Step 5:
Confirm your entry on the Orders tab in the app.
Please make sure you have push notifications enabled, as winners will be notified via push and an emailed receipt.
Step 6:
Winners will be randomly selected once Cigar City decides to initiate selections.
Winners will receive a push notification and an emailed receipt.
Non-winners will not be notified, but your entry will show as Not Selected on the Orders Tab. Eventually your entry will be removed from the app.
Step 7:
For those who were selected, they can use the app to claim their order during normal hours of operation at Cigar City starting in March.

When does pick up start? March 12th at 12pm
When does pick up end? April 11th at 6pm
What happens if I don’t pick up? You will forfeit your order and will not be entitled to a refund.
If I win both Random Draws, can I get a refund for one of them? No
Can I enter the Random Draw via the web? No, it is only available on the Oznr app.
Why is Hunahpu such a hyped beer?
What started as a limited release from a fledgling brewery has turned into something much bigger… First released in 2010, Hunahpu is considered by many leading experts to be one of the best Imperial Stout in the country. Fast forward to now, Cigar City has built a whole festival out of the release of Hunahpu and its variants: Hunahpu Day. Unfortunately, due to COVID the 2020 and 2021 Hunahpu Day’s were canceled.
